Affiliated Language Organizations
COFLT
is the state-level umbrella organization for all language
teachers in Oregon, but is comprised of five smaller language-specific
affiliate organizations, each with their own membership
process, websites, and language-specific events ranging
from professional development opportunities to opportunities
to experience the culture and language first-hand in events
such as speech contests, etc.
Each of these organizations elects to send one or two representatives
to each COFLT board meeting and are responsible for helping
to secure conference sessions in their language, as well
as maintaining their membership. Please note that the membership
dues for each organization are seperate from COFLT and are
not automatic for COFLT members.
COFLT also is affiliated with the PNCFL (Pacific Northwest
Council for Languages)
